FK Liepaja has completed its pre-season training process in Cyprus.

Already from March 4, Liepaja residents are preparing for the season in Liepaja.

Liepaja played several test games, 0: 2 against Slask Wroclaw, 0: 3 against FC UFA, 1: 1 against FC Universitatea Cluj, 1: 2 against Ararat Armenia, 1: 3 against Helsinborg IF and 6: 2 convincingly defeated APOEL FC in second a team.

Although there were few victories in the test games, this time it wasn't the most important. The composition of the team has changed compared to last year, so the main task of head coach Andrejs Kaliņš was to test the capabilities of all players and to create the core of the team, which will be the players who will try to return the team to the leaderboard in 2020.

Along with the new regulations on raising the limits of legionnaires, Liepaja residents have attached enough names to the Latvian Championship, Seidu Yahaya from Dinamo Minsk, Guimaraes Gerson of the Brazilian Premier League, who has also spent several seasons with Lechia Gdansk, currently represented by Christopher Tober, with World Cup experience in the Tunisian national team, Rami Bedoui from Liepaja, and a talented Ukrainian player Semeniv.

Local players have joined players like Edgar Vardanjan, who for several seasons was one of the leaders of Jurmala's Spartacus, but then had to stop football due to health problems. Liepaja residents are hopeful that Edgar will return to football exactly as he remembers in his best seasons.

FK Liepāja has also returned to Artūras Karašauskas, who has repeatedly proven that he can be a team leader and decide the fate of the game, the last season was not the most successful for Arthur, but he is preparing for the season from the start of training camp and is ready to shine again in the Super League Championship and the best bomber in the head.

FK Liepāja will play the first game of the season on a road trip to last year's offense against BFC Daugavpils, the only team to lose all points to Liepāja. We will see soon whether the people of Liepaja will be able to rehabilitate the previous season.
